  • 本研究使用常見的發光染料作為共主體,以有效提升有機發光二極體元件的效率,並改善元件效率滾降(roll off)的現象。在使用磷光天藍光染料Bis(3,5-difluoro-2-(2-pyridyl)phenyl-(2-carboxypyridyl) iridium(III) [FIrpic]作為共主體,並以4,4’,4’’-tri(N-carbazolyl) triphenylamine (TCTA)為主體的黃光元件,在亮度10,000 cd/m2時,其能量效率由11.7 lm/W提升至15.4 lm/W,提升幅度為32%。在亮度1,000 cd/m2時,能量效率為26.7 lm/W,是目前以濕式製作黃光有機發光二極體的世界紀錄。此其元件效率的顯著改善,可歸因為:一、共主體有電子捕捉的特性,促使身為少數載子的電子,可以更有效注入,以與電洞的注入平衡,二、激子在共主體上產生,可避免過多激子在客體上產生所導致的焠熄,三、共主體的添加,產生了額外的效率有效的主客體能量傳遞路徑,四、此共主體與客體間,有良好的能量傳遞。此外,所謂最有效的共主體,將視主體而定,特別要依據共主體與主體彼此間的能階匹配而定。
