在台灣愈來愈多的製造公司藉由在核心產品加上服務提高了產品價值以在激烈的商業競爭中生存。製造產業是提供以客戶為中心的產品與服務”bundles”的新產品也就是所謂的製造業服務化。
台灣經濟部推動了觀光工廠以幫助製造公司藉由使用原有設施及透過現場實地導覽或實際經驗來進行轉型成為製造服務製造公司。為製造公司提供了新的服務元素。這是產品服務系統中的go downstream的策略。
藉由個案中的YUMEEIREN的案例研究,可以了解到觀光工廠策略是如何協助製造公司從以產品為導向轉型成以客戶為導向的製造公司,並創造新的收入來源。然而就長期來看,未來的挑戰是還需要什麼進一步的專業知識或服務產品來滿足客戶需求及如何與客戶建立關係。
More and more manufacturing firms throughout Taiwan are adding value to their core product offerings through services to survival in the fierce business world. Manufacturing firms are offering ‘‘bundles’’ of customer-focused combinations of goods and services which is the term of servitization of manufacturing.
In Taiwan, the Ministry of Economic Affairs promoted the tourism factory to help the manufacturing firms for the service transformation by using the original facilities, and through the on-site tour and practical experience, provide the new factors of services to the manufacturing firms. This is go downstream strategy, one of product-service system.
Through the case study of YUMEEIREN, we observed how a tourism factory help a manufacturing firm moving toward customer orientation and generenting a new income stream. However, what further expertise or service product they need to satisfy their customer needs and how they gain the strongest relationship with customers from the long-term perspective are their future challenges.
