本研究以敘事的方式，探究親友的死亡之於我的意義，以及我如何從親友離世中的傷痛中，轉化「失去」為「得到」，「死」轉化成「生」，並將此經驗作為禮物，深化進自己的生命之中，從中學習與反思，以尋找其中所賦予的意義以及圖像。
此研究採用敘事探究的生命故事研究法，以故事描述來呈現文本，本文分成三部分：
首先就我的原生家庭背景來做描述，依循時光軌跡描述我在鄉下長大、童年生活、與阿嬤、哥哥、以及摯友在我成長過程中的關係、互動和小故事，以及親友的死亡事件發生過程，以及親友的逝去對我造成的影響。哥哥在高中時代的逝世，造就了決心要成為一個老師、阿嬤在我婚禮儀式的當晚離世，讓我對於生命悲喜交織有了更深的感觸，也形塑了我如何看待人生的方式、摯友在我懷第一胎時過世，是我最壓抑、最難以回顧的記憶，在深刻感受死亡的同時我也同時感受另外一個生命的孕育。
第二個部分則是描述我如何因為生命中親友的死亡事件，而開始走上教育的路、對於靈性事件的探索、以及走上華德福教育之路，並且試著以「自我對話」的方式，來理解生命和死亡之於靈性世界的意義。
最後，經由自我敘事、經驗再現的探究中，看見生命之中的離婚事件也是死亡的一種（關係中的死亡），去看見這一路上，我是因為有著從離去的人身上收到的珍貴的禮物，所以才能有走出離婚、以及一個人帶著兩個孩子在異國生存的力量。
藉著理解在靈性中死亡對於生命的意義，藉由敘說過去的生命經驗，理解在生命之流中，死亡並不是終點、而是另外一個靈性旅程的開始，並且從靈性書籍的閱讀中，找到隱藏在死亡之中親人所遺留下來給我的靈性禮物，從視域的轉換之中，得到療癒、以及重新建構過去經驗帶給我的生命價值。

This research uses a narrative inquiry to explore the meaning and impact of the death of my relatives and friends, and how I transformed "loss" into "gain", "death" into "life", transforming the pain of the death of relatives and friends into a source of vitality. I took the experience as a gift to learn and reflect from, to deepen my life.
This research adopts the self narrative inquiry as a method, and is divided into three parts:
First, I will describe my family background, and follow the time trajectory to describe my growing up in the country, my childhood life, my relationships and interactions with my grandma, brother, and best friend during my childhood. The passing of my brother in high school made me determined to become a teacher, and the death of my grandma on the night of my wedding ceremony gave me a deeper understanding of the joys and sorrows of life ; both experiences shaped the way I look at life.  My best friend’s  passing away when I was pregnant with my first child is my most repressed and hardest memory to recall. While deeply feeling the death, I also felt the birth of another life.
The second part describes how because of the death of relatives and friends in my life, I began my exploration of spirituality, and my journey in education and specifically Waldorf education, and I tried to use "inner-conversation" as a way to understand the meaning of life and death in the spiritual world.
Finally, through the exploration of self-narrative and re-lived experience, I saw that the divorce event in my life is also a kind of death (death in the relationship). I started to realize  what a precious gift I had received from the person who left. These gifts gave me the strength to leave the marriage and survive in a foreign country with two children alone.
Reinterpreting the meaning of death as a continuation of life in spirituality, understanding that death is not the end, but the beginning of another spiritual journey, gave me the impetus to explore further. Through reading spiritual books, I discovered the spiritual gifts left behind by my relatives and previously hidden in the pain surrounding their death. This process of re-constructing past experiences gave me healing, and new value to life.
