本文由文獻追溯中,發現台灣地區之槭樹屬(Acer)的學名使用混亂,且分類處理更是意見分歧。故本研究藉由文獻、蠟葉標本的檢視,以及分子證據的輔助,重新檢視槭樹屬之分類地位。在形態的研究部分,對標本進行觀測紀錄,做成形態資料矩陣。分子部分則以不同的引子抽取葉綠體DNA之trnL非轉錄序列及trnL- trnF、petG-trnP、atpB-rbcL、trnV-trnM等的基因間片段,以及細胞核DNA的內轉錄間隔區片段,排列為分子資料矩陣。
綜合各項證據後,筆者認為樟葉槭之變異不足以區分成不同的種類。而由形態、葉綠體DNA及內轉錄間隔區變異等証據,顯示台灣三角楓與樟葉槭的關係應該比Acer buergerianum更近。故將其學名應更正為A. albopurpurascens var. formosanum (Matsum. et Hayata ex Koidz.) Tzeng。而尖葉槭之外部形態雖然差異很大,但由於其特徵呈現連續分佈,故不建議設立變種。又根據形態證據,推斷A. morrisonense Hayata 應列為A. kawakamii Koidz. 的同種異名,A. rubescens Hayata 才是台灣紅榨槭的正確學名。筆者重製了台灣地區槭樹屬之檢索表,希望藉由多特徵之比對,避免僅能以少數特徵做判斷而造成鑑定上的困難或誤判。
本研究提供了台灣地區槭樹屬的形態及分子等相關基本資料。期望將來能夠結合台灣鄰近地區之資料,以便能更深入去探討槭樹屬的相關問題。
According to the publications in the past, the scientific names used in the genus Acer in Taiwan were confused, and the taxonomic treatments among researchers were quite different. In consequence, I revised the genus Acer by reviewing the papers, examining specimens, and obtaining the molecular data in this study. In morphological studies, I observed and measured the specimens, and made it into a morphological data matrix, which could be runned by computer program PAUP. In molecular data, I used different primers to sequence the following framents: trnL intron and trnL- trnF、petG-trnP、atpB-rbcL、trnV-trnM intergenic spacer of chloroplast DNA (cpDNA), and the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) of nuclear DNA, and made them into a data matrix.
Synthesizing all the evidences, I consider the species, Acer albopurpurascens Hayata, doesn’t have enough variation to be divided to different kind of infra species. According to the evidences gathered by morphology, cpDNA and ITS data sets combined with the sequences from GenBank, it reveals that A. buergerianum var. formosanum is close to A. albopurpurascens rather than to A. buergerianum. Therefore, a new scientific name A. albopurpurascens var. formosanum (Matsum. et Hayata ex Koidz.) Tzeng is proposed. Although A. kawakamii has large variation range in morphology, all the characters are continuous. Infraspecific treatments are not suggested. Base on morphology, A. morrisonense Hayata is better treated as the synonyma of A. kawakamii Koidz. Thus A. rubescens Hay is distinct from A. morrisonense. In this thesis, a key for the genus Acer in Taiwan is provided in the expectation that more characters are compared.
This study provides the morphological and molecular data of Acer in Taiwan, with the expectation that they might be combined with the data of the adjacent areas to answer more questions about the genus Acer.
