現今有許多高科技產業為了生產高良率的產品,因此產品製造過程的複雜度、花費的時間與金錢也跟著提高。面對這種高成本製程的產業而言,監控製程抽樣往往每次只能得到一個觀測值,即樣本數為1。另外,一個製程可能需要同時監控多個具有相關性的品質特性,在這樣的條件下監控製程目標平均數是否已變動是一個非常重要的問題。面對這個問題,Lowry、Woodall、Champ與Rigdon (1992) 提出MEWMA管制圖來監控製程平均數向量,而其前提是假設共變異數矩陣在監控的過程中不會改變,然而事實上共變異數矩陣在監控過程中也有可能會發生改變。針對這樣的問題,本文利用共變異數矩陣的一個合理估計量來對MEWMA管制圖的監控統計量做適當修正,使其在監控平均數向量時,較不受到共變異數矩陣改變的影響,最後我們並利用統計模擬和實例分析來比較兩種管制圖的優劣。
