本研究目的在使用一般日常中被認為具有色彩意象的詞彙,以促發效果的程序,來檢驗色彩意象詞彙促發效果的可能歷程。研究結果發現:(一)色彩意象具有內隱效應:當促發項與目標項的色彩意象一致時比當促發項與目標項的色彩意象不一致時,受試者對目標項的反應時間較快,對促發項詞彙的再認率也會較高。(二)在低認知限制程序中,不論色彩意象一致或是色彩意象不一致的嘗試,受試者對目標項的反應時間皆快於在高認知限制程序中的反應時間。(三)在低認知限制程序中,因促發項呈現時間較長,促使受試者在詞彙再認率的表現優於在高認知限制程序中的詞彙再認率。(四)目標刺激以色塊呈現的受試者對目標刺激的反應時間稍快於目標刺激以文字呈現的受試者對目標刺激的反應時間。(五)色彩聯想力高低與色彩意象內隱效應並無顯著關聯性存在。
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine the possible implicit priming effects of typical color perception from color-related words, as revealed by a semantic priming procedure developed for such a purpose. The major findings of the study are: First, color-related words did show the significant priming effects, in that subjects responded faster to goal stimuli and had better recognition performance on priming items in the color association consistent trials than in the color association inconsistent trials. Second, subjects responded faster to goal stimuli in low cognitive restrain condition (1500ms SOA) than in high cognitive restrain condition (350ms SOA). Third, subjects had better recognition performance on priming items in low cognitive restrain condition (1500ms SOA) than in high cognitive restrain condition (350ms SOA), due to the differential display time of priming items. Forth, subjects presented with color blocks responded slightly faster to identify the colors of goal stimuli than those presented with color semantic words. Fifth, no significant relation was found between the ability of color association and the implicit priming effect of color-related words.
