典型的鋼鐵廠鍋爐所使用之燃料有許多種,本次針對BFG(高爐氣和轉爐氣混合而成)和煤混燒之燃料做深入的探討,BFG是煉鋼廠的廢氣由高爐氣和轉爐氣混合而成,為煉鋼場的副產品而其熱值尚有700~900(Kcal/m3),若排放至大氣層中因其化學組成主要是CO、CO2、N2和含量很少的CH4和H2等,而CO的容積含量約占20%~30%左右(CO氣體的熱值為比較低的一種氣體燃料),而造成環境污染。BFG是煉鋼場的廢氣但如能再利用能源亦是降低能耗之方法,但在每一時間下因混合比例不同,造成BFG熱值隨時間一直在變動,而使得鋼鐵廠混燒鍋爐之效率較不易控制。
在本研究中,運用NNG(non-negative garrote) regression方法建立模型證實能夠預測混燒鍋爐之熱效率並找出其物理意義,進而控制提升混燒鍋爐之熱效率。
