透過重審母女關係，女性更能了解自身。由於女性主義及各方的關注，母親在性別認知上產生的變化，也因為母親角色內涵產生質變，使得傳統父系規範開始鬆動的同時，也代表著女性的聲音正逐漸被聽見，使得有了重新建構性別角色與意義的可能。女性在書寫母親時重新探討自我如何形成，以及最後以女性特有的角度記錄女性系譜。
由瑪琳．葛瑞絲（Marlene Gorris）所導演的電影《安東尼雅之家》以真實的性別差異，以女人的子宮建構出自我身分的認同；以女性獨有的陰性空間，顛覆父系制度的統治，成為母性主體主動期望體驗傳承生命之樂的過程。女性藉由五代女性生命實體存在的綿延中，繁衍出內在精神的延續，也創造出母性的各種可能。
筆者在緒論之後將論文分三個部分：第二章部分是爬梳有關母性的脈絡；由於母性牽涉的議題繁複不易解，以生物遺傳學、社會文化等實際面向來審視母性，引用的理論有賀迪的母性非天性、南茜•喬得洛的母職再造、西方女神的觀點。第三章以電影《安東尼雅之家》為研究材料，將其主要議題再行比對於主題相似的電影。第四章部分則是以文獻中的理論探索闡述研究材料，同時和其他電影作品的相互對應尋找新的線索與可能。引用精神分析理論中母親的論述、克莉絲蒂娃的「母親功能」、西蘇的「陰性書寫」、伊瑞葛來的「女性系譜」，以論述重新審視對母性的看法。

By viewing the relationship of mothers and daughters, women understand themselves better. As feminism and the concerns of its related parties, maternity in gender awareness have changed, the role of mothers has not only been metamorphic, but also help make loose the traditional paternal standard. At the same time, the feminine voice is to be heard gradually and the construction of feminine sexual role and its significance is made possible. The female once tries to write the mother can investigate how she has been formed and could record and retrace her feminine genealogy.
By the real sexual difference and the self-identity as approved by woman's womb in Marlene Gorris’s film "Antonia's line", feminine chora would subvert the rule of paternal dominance, and reconstruct the female through maternity experience as to enjoy her own life positives. In "Antonia's line" five generations of women have a substantial presence which includes an inherent spiritual continuity and creates various potentials of maternity.
The author divides after introduction the thesis into three parts: The second chapter puts the related discussions of maternity in order. The maternity involves subject which is complicated and not easy to solve. I would examine carefully the maternity from viewpoint of biological genetics, social culture and so on. Theories quoted include the non-instinct maternity as Sara Blaffer Hrdy proposed and “the Reproduction of mothering” done by Nancy Chodorrow and some viewpoint and reflections on western goddess. The third chapter concentrates the discussion of "Antonia's line" in order to study its detailed content as well as some contrast or similar topics which could be related to themes of the film. The fourth chapter is to explore and apply some theoretical psychoanalytic and feminist literatures, such as those proposed by French feminine thinkers of Kristeva, Cixous and Irigary and see how fruitful their potentialities would shed light on the film.
