本研究旨在探討新竹地區國小兒童合唱團組訓及教學現況，以及指導教師在教學及社團經營中所遇到的困境。
本文採用「調查研究法」，以自編的「新竹地區國小合唱團組訓實施現況調查表」問卷為研究工具，並以訪談蒐集資料。本論文以新竹地區38位國小兒童合唱團之校內指導教師為研究對象，資料分析採用SPSS13.0統計軟體為工具，以描述性統計（descriptive statistics）（次數分配、百分比、平均數）、單因子變異數分析（One—Way ANOVA）、Scheffe事後比較等方法進行分析。本研究綜合調查結果、訪談資料後，得到以下結論：
一. 新竹地區的小型學校，因城鄉差距及資源分佈不均等問題，合唱團組訓未能正常化與常態化。
二. 新竹地區國小兒童合唱團的指導教師普遍人力不足、教師授課時數普遍繁重，且教師專業知能需加強但進修管道不足。
三. 指導教師帶團參賽的成績表現與指導年資長短達邊緣顯著差異性。
四. 指導教師在社團的教學實施及經營方面所面臨的問題，以「學 生課後練習不夠充裕」、「學生認譜能力不足」、「學校舉辦的活動太多，團練時常無法全員到齊」、「團練時間不夠」、「不斷反覆練習比賽的曲目，使學生興趣降低」、「學校授課時數太多，心有餘，體力不足」、「除了合唱團的教學外，還需擔任其他的行政工作」、「自身的範唱技巧」、「合唱指揮能力」等問題最為困擾。
五. 指導教師因學校規模、擔任職務、音樂專業背景、合唱團指導年資的長短等不同背景變項，在所遇到的困擾問題方面，各有其不同的差異。
依據研究調查結果，本論文針對教育行政單位、學校、指導教師等，提出建議，作為未來規劃課程、比賽及合唱團教學應用之參考。

This research aims to investigate the current organization, training and instruction of children’s chorus at Hsin-Chu area, and the difficulties that instructors encounter when managing and conducting the chorus.
The survey research methods were used in this study. A self-made “Questionnaire for the current children’s chorus organization and training at Hsin-Chu area” was proposed as the research tool, and interviews were conducted for data collection. 38 instructors of elementary school chorus at Hsin-Chu area were participated in this research. The statistical software SPSS 13.0 was used for data analysis, including descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, percentage, mean), One-Way ANOVA, and Scheffe’s test. The results show:
1. Due to the difference between town and country and the inadequate resources distribution, the chorus organization and training in small-scale elementary schools at Hsin-Chu area is functioning without normalization.
2. The children’s choruses at Hsin-Chu area are generally short of instructors. Instructors are loaded with heavy duties. They feel the need to enhance their domain knowledge but information for further education is lacking.
3. The performance and competition achievement between the instructor’s seniority have significant marginal difference.
4. As teaching and managing the chorus, instructors encounter the difficulties such as (a) lack of time for student practice after class; (b) students are unable to read music sheet sufficiently; (c) the practice absence due to extra curriculums; (d) the shortage of training time; (e) students’ interests decreasing due to repeated practice; (f) though students are willing to practice the chorus, but get bounded with other school classes; (g) the instructors have other administrative works; (h) instructor’s demonstration skills and (i) their conducting abilities.
5. Instructors with different backgrounds, such as the school scales, administrative works, the music profession, conducting seniority, encounter different difficulties.

Based on the results of our research, suggestions for future curriculum design, music competition, and chorus instruction are proposed, in hoping to benefit school administrative units, schools, and instructors.
