「住」原本是主要動詞，表居住義，使用頻率較高。「住」的句法搭配也有不同的呈現方式，「住」為及物動詞時帶賓語，賓語的部分以「住+空間」居多；「住」為不及物動詞時帶補語，補語的部分以「住+在+空間」占多數。而「V住」是現代漢語中常見的動補結構，促成這種動補結構的內在條件，是與動詞「V」搭配的補語「住」，需要有一定的前提限制，內部結構才會協調。
全文分為四章：第一章為緒論，比較辭典，對「住」的定義及詞類解釋不同，敘述本文選題的動機與目的，並交代語料庫語言學的背景，及本篇研究使用的語料來源；第二章，從動補結構的相關單篇研究中，回溯前人研究的成果。分析進入「V住」結構的動詞「V」的語義特徵，及「V住」結構的語法功能，根據語義特徵作為篩選語料的標準；第三章，篩選語料從進入「V住」結構的動詞「V」開始，依據動詞的語義特徵細分成，存放/掩藏/心理狀態、姿態/形容詞、抓握/抑制、忍類、抵抗、其他六種。考察語料庫中「V住」與「住」的分布情形，各別分析「V住」與「住」的主語、賓語，再對比分析兩者的異同。這六類「V住」動詞搭配的句式，也憑藉比例由高至低排序，象徵詞彙使用的頻率高低；第四章為結語，針對本篇研究的成果作歸納總結。

"Zhu", meaning living, is a verb, with high frequency. There are two main syntactic combinations of "Zhu": a. "Zhu" as a transitive verb with a object, which is dominated by "Zhu + space", and b. "Zhu" as an intransitive verb with a complement, which is dominated by "Zhu + tzai + space". "V Zhu" is a Verb - complement construction in modern Chinese. There are some constraints on the collocations of "V" and its complement "Zhu".
The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part is introduction. In this part, the author will contrast two dictionaries, definition of "Zhu" and interpretation of different words, describing the motivation and purpose of the topic selected in this paper, and explaining the background of corpus linguistics, and the source of material used in this study. The second part is about the relevant single study from Verb - complement construction, backtracking results of previous research. Analysis of the semantic features of verb "V" entering the Verb - complement construction, and the grammatical function of Verb - complement construction, according to semantic characteristics as the criterion for screening the verbs. In the third part, the author will began to filter material with verb "V" entering Verb - complement construction, and according to semantic characteristics of verbs, subdivided storing / hiding / psychological states, postures / adjectives, grasping / suppressing, bear, resistance, and other. To examine the syntactic distribution of "V Zhu" and "Zhu" in the corpus, analyzing the subject and object of "V Zhu" and "Zhu" and comparing the similarities and differences between the two constructions. The sentence patterns of these six "V Zhu" verbs are also sorted from highest to lowest by proportion, symbolizing the frequency of vocabulary use. The last part is conclusion, and summarizes the results of this study.
