    • Abstract
    In this paper, we investigate the motions of the planar pseudo-rigid body by using the technique of Routh reduction. Further constraints such as similarity, incompressibility and special shearing are considered to lower the degrees of freedom. Phase diagrams and stabilities of relative equilibria are studied. Neo-Hookean and Saint Venant-Kirchhoff materials are compared in some models.
