公共顯示器在面板產業中的具有獨特的地位與影響力,原因在於面板產業發展二十幾年來,一般傳統的應用,如電視機、筆記型電腦面板、桌上型顯示器等,都已經日趨飽和了,除了既有應用的技術持續提升外,面板產業急需找出新的應用領域,因此針對面板產業當紅的公共顯示器等領域進行相關的研究。
個案公司目前正在進行所謂的「雙軸轉型計畫」,以升級顯示技術附加價值(Go Premium)和深化垂直市場應用(Go Vertical)為兩大軸心,走向多元化、客製化的產業解決方案。希望藉由這個轉型讓面板產業脫離所謂的經濟循環的泥淖,因此也引發本研究對公共顯示器的銷售與經濟循環相關性的研究興趣。
經量化迴歸分析,公共顯示器銷售仍受國民生產毛額(GDP)影響,需提出改善對策。個案公司透過商業九宮格分析,除了鞏固現有客戶外,積極開拓新客戶並加強異業合作。同時併購教育通路商擴大出海。透過展覽提高知名度,發揮集團資源效益,降低成本。強調永續經營,與合作夥伴共榮。密切與品牌大客戶合作,開發高品質、節能減碳的顯示器面板。
進入二十一世紀以來,人們的環保意識抬頭,先進的開發國家也一直在倡導ESG(環境Environment、社會Social、治理Governance)和ECO(Ecology)環保節能的重要性議題。因此公共顯示器的技術開發,也必需將此議題納入考慮。
公共顯示器的技術演進從過去薄膜液晶電晶體(TFT-LCD)的優化,使面板能用於戶外,到近期的膽固醇液晶(Ch_LCD)技術的研究開發,以符合節能減碳的時代潮流。
Public displays hold a unique position and influence within the panel industry. Over the past two decades, traditional applications such as television sets, laptop panels, and desktop monitors have become increasingly saturated. While existing technologies continue to improve, the panel industry urgently needs to identify new application areas. Consequently, there has been significant research into emerging fields like public displays.
The case company is currently undergoing a "dual-axis transformation plan" centered on two main strategies: enhancing display technology's added value (Go Premium) and deepening vertical market applications (Go Vertical). This transformation aims to diversify and customize industry solutions, helping the panel industry break free from the economic cycle's constraints. This initiative has sparked an interest in studying the relationship between public display sales and economic cycles.
Through quantitative regression analysis, it was found that public display sales are still influenced by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), necessitating the development of improvement strategies. Using a business model canvas, the company has been actively securing existing key clients while also developing new ones and strengthening cross-industry collaborations. They have acquired educational channel partners to expand their market presence. By participating in large-scale exhibitions, the company increases its visibility and leverages group resources to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The company emphasizes sustainable operations, corporate social responsibility, and mutual growth with partners. They work closely with top-tier brand clients to develop high-quality, energy-efficient display panels in response to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) trends.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, environmental awareness has risen, and developed countries have been advocating for the importance of ESG and ECO (Ecology) environmental and energy-saving initiatives. Therefore, the development of public display technology must also consider these issues.
The technological evolution of public displays has progressed from optimizing Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) technology for outdoor use to recent research and development in Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Display (Cholesteric_LCD) technology, aligning with the era's energy-saving and carbon-reduction trends.
