本研究旨在探討大學生的自尊、人際親密能力、與關係適應之間的關係。本研究以中區有談過戀愛或正處於戀愛中的大學生為對象，共384人，所使用的量表包括Rosenberg的自尊量表、「人際親密能力量表」、與「關係適應」量表。量表回收後以t考驗、變異數分析、皮爾森積差相關、典型相關、與逐步多元迴歸分析等統計方法進行處理。本研究主要發現為：（1）女生的自尊得分高於男生，年級方面則無顯著差異。（2）男生在整體人際親密能力、負向決斷、主動／表露、與衝突處理的得分較女生佳，情緒支持則無性別上的差異，年級方面無顯著差異。（3）關係適應方面，無性別與年級的差異（4）自尊與整體人際親密能力成正相關，與人際親密能力中的情緒支持、衝突處理亦成正相關，但相關程度不高。（5）自尊與整體關係適應成正相關，也與關係適應中的滿意／成長、自主／共生成正相關，但均屬低度相關。（6）人際親密能力與關係適應有典型相關存在，其中負向決斷、情緒支持、主動／表露、及衝突處理與滿意／成長、自主／共生呈現正相關，與衝突／矛盾呈現負相關。（7）以自尊與人際親密能力預測關係適應，僅人際親密能力中的衝突處理、情緒支持、與負向決斷可預測個體的關係適應。

This research is about the relations among self-esteem, interpersonal competence, and relationship adjustment. The sample consisted of 384 college students who from midland Taiwan had experience being in romantic relationships. Instruments used in this study included Rosenberg's self-esteem scale, interpersonal competence scale, and relationship adjustment scale. Data obtained in this study were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's product moment correlations, canonical correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The main findings were (1) there were significant gender differences in self-esteem, and females had higher self-esteem than males, but no differences in different grades. (2) There were significant gender differences in global interpersonal competence, negative assertion, initiation/self-disclosure, and conflict management, and male had higher score than females, but no differences in emotional support and different grades. (3) There were not significant gender and grade difference in relationships adjustment. (4) Self-esteems had low positive correlated with global interpersonal competence, emotional support, and conflict management. (5) Self-esteems had low positive correlated with global satisfaction and autonomous/symbiosis. (6) The canonical correlations between interpersonal competence and relationship adjustment. The negative assertion, emotional support, initiation/self disclosure, and conflict management had positive correlated with global satisfaction and autonomous/symbiosis, but with negative correlated conflict/ambivalence. (7) Conflict management, emotional support, and negative assertion were predictive of relationship adjustment.
