People have been equating microbes as pathogens for a long time, while many of them settle on our body surface, inside our intestine, and other places cooperate with human cells to maintain our body function. Adaptation, coevolution and long-term interactions between humans and microbes in the living environment shape the human microbiome. Soil, rich in microbial diversity, is crucial to construct a healthy human flora. However, living in a modern, urbanization life reduces the opportunities to contact the soil, and the diversity loss of human microbial flora is closely related to such changes in life. This thesis aims to respond to this situation, where humans seem to alienate and dominate nature yet are inseparable from nature by artwork creation using "occupation" as the concept and the microbial colony as the theme. After combing through works related to microbial colonies and analyzing the context of the author's first two artworks in the "Occupation" series, the author created an augmented reality experience in-spired by the dish culturing techniques. During the process, audiences' sense ex-tends from the epoxy specimen made by the colonies cultivated from the soil to the land itself through the mobile application; when the audiences streak the virtual microbes on the ground, as virtual culture medium, with their bare hands, the audiences themselves are occupied by soil microorganisms at the same time. The author attempts to trigger the audience's thinking about the relationship be-tween human beings and the natural environment by this creation.
