半導體測試業位居半導體供應鏈之下游,產業特性與其它半導體產業同為勞力,技術和資本密集之產業,在微利時代來臨和毛利逐年降低的嚴峻挑戰下,營運成本的控制成為產業競爭中成敗的關鍵因素,而邏輯測試業設備相關成本與支出佔邏輯測試產業經營成本70%以上,因此設備相關成本成為經營者必需努力控制的一項管理指標;設備相關成本來自折舊費用與維護費用,讓機台在最佳狀況產生最大的稼動是測試業者必需努力的方向。在技術密集的產業中,設備供應商的有效支援是絕對必要的,因此本研究針對邏輯測試產業之關鍵設備與部品供應商管理策略及評估方法進行研究,透過次級資料分析、產業資訊蒐集及個案公司訪談,產生供應商管理策略;本研究並運用AHP層級分析法,以系統化的方法快速產生供應商評比結果,經過實證研究證實本研究所建議之供應商管理策略及評比方法的確可行並能對邏輯測試業者產生實際價值。
研究結論如下:
1. 邏輯測試產業的關鍵設備及部品分別為:測試機、分類機、針測機及探針卡。
2. 針對關鍵設備的自主維修能力為邏輯測試產業目前急需投入資源的一個方向,維有足夠的自主維修能力才能快速修復設備與部品的異常,將生產中斷的損失降至最低。
3. 針對測試機供應商的策略:結合測試機供應商共同開發跨平台技術以提昇生產彈性
4. 針對分類機及針測機供應商策略:利用需求增加產生的訂單造成供應商的市場競爭,以爭取更多的折告及服務,將生產彈性的提昇與部品的共用列為採購的基本要求,並培養本土供應商(成本考量),給予更多的試用機會。
5. 探針卡策略 => 造成市場競爭,取得高階維修技術以減少生產中斷損失。
6. 本研究之供應商管理和AHP評估方法經過實例驗証,結果的確有助測試業之供應商管理,並產生實際之效益。
以上研究結論可供測試產業供應商評選人員及產業相關研究人員參考。
Semiconductor Testing industry belongs to back end of Semiconductor Supply Chain, and the characteristic of industry is highly requirement of manpower、technique & capital. To face the challenge of the low marginal profit age coming recently, the operation cost control is key factor of industrial competition. Equipment related cost & expense have reached 70% higher of the testing house operation cost, that is, the management of equipment related cost & expense is a must do for testing house decision level. The major component of equipment related cost is depreciation cost and maintain expense, therefore the supporting from equipment and parts vendor is very important in high technique requirement industry. This research focus on key equipment & parts of logic testing industry, collecting & analysis the data come from other research、industrial paper、newspaper & case study testing house, summarize the information & relation of testing industry & their vendor, and define vendor management strategy in a testing house, then using AHP ( Analytic Hierarchy Process ) to quickly determine the vendor evaluation & ranking result. After the case study of a testing house, we approved the strategy and evaluation method is very helpful for the case company.
And the summary of the research as below :
1. Key equipment & parts of Logic Testing Industry is : Tester、Handler、Prober & Probe Card.
2. The self-repair capability of key equipment & parts is an important mission for current logic testing industry. The capability can help factory quickly recover the down time and keep smooth production.
3. The strategy for logic testing house to their tester vendor : co-work with tester vendor for developing platform conversion technique, let product can testing on other platform for scheduling flexibility.
4. The strategy for logic testing house to their handler & prober vendor : Using the increasing order requirement to create a competitive environment market for bargaining price & service, enhance the flexibility of production & cultivate local vendor for future low cost consideration.
5. The strategy for logic testing house to their probe card vendor : Using the increasing order requirement to create a competitive environment market for bargaining and service, Obtain the high level probe card repair technique to avoid production break down loss when wafer sort business ramp up in near future.
6. The Vendor management model & AHP method used in this research are helpful for logic testing house after real case implement proven.
This research can be a reference paper for testing industry research & vendor evaluation related research.
