  • 液晶電視因面板尺寸越作越大,所需燈管數也隨之增多,且燈管長度與直徑也不斷加長、加大。就目前背光源使用燈管市占率最高的冷陰極螢光燈管而言,其使用的反流器數量較多,使成本比重居高不下;而多燈管並聯之電流均流等問題也尚待克服。故本文採用構造與冷陰極螢光燈管相似之新型外部電極螢光燈管作為背光源,不但使原本應用於冷陰極螢光燈管的組裝與機構設計方式不需作大幅度變動,且一組反流器即可驅動多根燈管,有效減少成本。此外,外部電極螢光燈管尚有高發光效率、降低發熱量、減少漏氣機率且電極不因長時間使用而過度耗損,故燈管壽命較長等優點。因此本論文主要以外部電極螢光燈管為探討對象,針對大尺寸多燈管並聯之電子安定器做一基礎的研究。


    The newly developed external electrode fluorescent lamps (EEFLs) have the same structure as that of cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs). However, it contains less mercury and can drive many lamps with a single inverter. Hence, from the environment and cost considerations, its increasing application in large-sized LCD TV will be expected. It is worth to explore the fundamental driver technologies of EEFLs backlight system.
    The contributions of this thesis may be summarized as follows. First, a full bridge LCC resonant converter is adopted as the driver of the backlight system. Two isolated transformers are parallel–series connected to provide isolation and voltage boosting. Second, reactive power compensation at the secondary winding is made to reduce the voltage ampere rating and increase the efficiency. Finally, a prototype system is also constructed for verifying the feasibility of the proposed system.
