電視訊號數位化促進家用電視可以提供更多樣化的服務,使用者與電視介面的互動也變得較傳統電視複雜。然而,使用者觀看電視大部份是為了休閒娛樂,享受家庭生活。因此,人機介面的可用性評估不但得考慮效能(Effectiveness)與效率(Efficiency),更需要清楚地瞭解對於使用者滿意度(Satisfaction)的影響,增進可用性評估在家用產品的適用性。
本研究之目的在於提出結構化可用性評估的方法,藉由專家與使用者的共同參與,建構互動系統的可用性脈絡,選擇合適的可用性指標,測試互動系統的可用性,建議設計人員改善介面的參考方向。
本研究中應用結構化可用性評估方法探討互動電視個案。從個案結果發現目前互動電視最重要的議題在於導覽選單設計,包括適當的目錄名稱與分類方式及介面呈現的訊息能夠有良好的操作提示。另一方面,可以看出本方法除了篩選主要的使用者需求與可用性工程的關係,更進一步透過可用性指標分析檢驗,使得研究結果更為穩固。
Interactive domestic facilities provide diverse services nowadays and make human-computer interface issues more complex. Whether the interactive systems adapt target users therefore is very important. To achieve the goal of bettering users’ experiences, effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction are three principal considerations.
The aim of this paper is to propose a structured methodology for implementing usability evaluation which takes into consideration of the principles just mentioned. There are three steps in the process. Domain experts and target users were first recruited to collaboratively establish the context of usability, and followed by choosing proper usability indices to evaluate the interactive systems. Recommendations for improving current product/prototype can be drawn from the analysis results lastly.
Interactive TV (iTV) was chosen as a case in this current study to prove the proposed methodology is feasible. Results showed that the most important issue for current iTV design was navigation menu, which included classifying/naming the folder properly and providing intuitive cues during operation. By this we proved that the proposed methodology does have the ability to detect possible area for improvement and at the meanwhile the results can be more robust because of the usability indices measurements.
