本研究透過「後設分析法」（meta-analysis），探討創造性問題解決教學與傳統教學對學生認知、情意及高層次思考能力學習成效之影響。本研究將研究變項分為文件性質、受試者性質、研究方法性質與研究案性質等四大類，各類之下又細分成十八個子變項來探討是否會造成學習成效之差異。
本研究中，認知學習共蒐集16篇研究案；情意學習共蒐集20篇研究案；高層次思考能力方面，則有33篇研究案。各篇研究案之量化數據皆換算成效果大小值（effect size），以進行各變項之單因子變異數分析。經統計分析後，結果如下：
壹、整體成效
一、認知學習：創造性問題解決教學成效優於傳統教學
（ES=0.3665）。
二、情意學習：顯示在學習動機及態度上，使用創造性問題解決教學的方式會優於傳統教學（ES=0.3833）。
三、高層次思考能力學習：透過創造性問題解決教學方式的確能提升學生創造思考能力（ES=0.6564）。
貳、各變項之分析
一、認知學習上「研究設計形式」、「實驗期間」兩個變項達顯著水準。
二、情意學習上「教學場所」、「教學者」兩個變項達顯著水準。
三、高層次思考能力上「能力高低」一個變項達顯著水準。
參、學習者對創造性問題解決教學之態度
在認知學習方面，有59％的文獻呈現正向的學習態度；在情意學習方面，有60％的文獻呈現正向的學習態度；在創造思考能力方面，有78％的文獻亦呈現正向的學習態度。綜合言之，創造性問題解決教學確實能增進學生在學習上的效果與能力，並進而產生正向的學習態度。

A meta-analysis was performed to synthesize existing research comparing the effects of creative problem solving teaching with traditional instruction on students’ cognitive, affective achievement, higher thinking ability and attitudes toward creative problem solving teaching after experiments.
The studies were located from five sources.There were 38 studies collected, 16 studies on cognitive outcomes, 20 studies on affective outcomes, and 33 studies on create thinking ability. The quantitative data of the collected studies were transformed into Effect Size(ES). In addition, 18 studied variables were selected and each studied variable was analyzed by one-way ANOVA to relate effect size. The main findings of this study were summarized as follows:
1 .The whole effects suggest that creative problem solving teaching is more effective than traditional instruction on both cognitive, affective and higher thinking ability learning. Their mean ES were 0.3665, 0.3833 and 0.6564 , respectively.
2. Two variables, research design form and experiment period had a statistically significant impact on the mean ES of cognitive achievement.
3. Two variables, teaching place and the teacher had a statistically significant impact on the mean ES of affective achievement.
4. One variables, Ability height had a statistically significant impact on the mean ES of higher thinking ability.
5. The results of this meta-analysis show that creative problem solving teaching in the aspects of cognizing and affection can promote students' cognitive, affective and higher thinking ability learning results. The results of the study show that students held more positive attitudes toward creative problem solving teaching.
