筆者住家原本是市區的巷子裡，但最近年馬路拓寬，環境遭受到噪音及空氣污染，改變了住家的原本純淨自然環境，也影響著居民的身體健康。為了喚起大眾重視自然土地的可貴，本創作探究範圍從2006年至2009年間，以筆者內心觀照感受作起點，透過資料的收集、攝影、草圖構思、染布探索實踐並輔以理論解析研討。有機棉布透過麻繩的捆綁、熬煮、媒染、和洗淨晾乾等步驟所隨機取得的造形剛好與筆者的身心感受共鳴。
本創作研究以探討筆者心境變化為主軸，抒發愛惜生命及愛護自然環境的理念，透過有機棉布的煮染或彩繪創作的展現延伸，來思索生命永續發展與價質。本創作論述共分五章論述。第一章為緒論，主要說明本創作研究的動機與目的、研究的內容與範圍、研究的方法與步驟及名詞釋義。第二章為「蛻變」的文獻探討與學理基礎。第三章則針對個人創作主題內容、形式風格與媒材分析探究。第四章重點為創作作品解析。第五章為本創作論述的結論，個人創作的研究心得，並展望未來。
本創作論述作品依照表現的意涵，象徵過去、現在、與未來的筆者，分為「花草蛻變系列」、「生命無常系列」及「渴望超脫系列」三個系列，共20件作品。「花草蛻變系列」有7幅，內容以具象的花為主體，表現筆者過去健康的身體與平靜愉快的生活，無知於鉅大的變化即將來臨。「生命無常系列」有6幅，內容以絞染後自然呈現的效果為主，表現筆者現在面對的生命是無常的，人力無法左右。「渴望超脫系列」有7幅，內容以規律和手腳的圖形，並以佛像、蓮花的佛教圖像象徵筆者面對未來，渴望藉由心靈的成長超脫身心的病苦。

Since the living circumstances have changed and the noise and air pollution increase, the condition of the researcher’s health has decreased. In order to invoke the value of the nature, this creation and research dyes on organic cloth with natural coloring material within 2006 to 2009. Through the processes of binding, cooking, dyeing, and frying, the random forms shown on the organic cloth are coincidently reflects to the consonance of researcher.
The main purpose of this research is to explore the value of life through the concept of environment protection and the creation of dyeing on organic cloth with natural coloring material. This discussion, A Qualitative Change, includes five chapters which are introduction, literature review, the analysis of forms and materials, the explanation of arts works, and conclusion.
This creation has totally twenty arts works which symbolizing the past, the resent, and the future of researcher. All 20 works are divided into three series. The first series contents 7 works and is named “qualitative change of flowers” which describe the researcher’s calm and joyful time being unknown to the upcoming great change in the past. The second series contents 6 works and is named “impermanence of life” which expresses the researcher’s current health condition unchangeable by human. The third, and final series contents 7 arts works and is named “aspiration of surpassing” which implies the researcher’s desire to overcome the pain through the growing of spirit in the future.
