The main purpose of this study was to examine moderating effects of collective efficacy on his relationship between motivational climate and sport’s performance in cheerleading teams. There were 194 participants (male=71, female=123) in this study. Player’s ages were between 15 years old to 20 years old (Mean = 16.95 yr, SD =1.02). The Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire-2 and collective efficacy questionnaire were used in this study. The investigations were strayed 20 minutes before the competition. The sport performances were collected from the competition. Hierarchical Regression analyses revealed that: a) task-involving climate significantly positive predicted performance, but perceptions of ego-involving climate didn’t. b) Collective efficacy was significantly positive predicted performance. c) Collective efficacy was the moderator between motivational climate and team performance. The findings support the importance that creating a higher collective efficacy should depend on the motivational climates in cheerleading sports. In detail, high collective efficacy and high task-climate would be the high performance, and high collective efficacy and low ego-climate would be the high performance. Coaches could enhance collective efficacy according to different motivational climates to improve player’s sports performance.
