  • As the world flattens, more and more wealthy families are looking for ways to provide more options to their children in both living style and futre per se. Knowing that US provides one of the best education and social welfare systems in the world, many of these wealthy families are seeking ways to become Americans. And as US experiences its economic down turns, US government is looking for ways to attract more foreign investors to bring capital flow to the country.

This thesis centralizes in the idea to present a business model through changes of US immigration law. The realization of such business opportunity entails an entrepreneurship. Using CanAm Enterprises as an example, this thesis maps out the possible value chain for US immigrant inestment products. Such realization would not be feasible if it lacks participations of the people from transnational communities.

The contribution this thesis hopes to achieve is to introduce a line of business that is unfamiliar to the general public and to solicitates that new business ideas are realized through entrepreneurs with distinct attributes of knowledge and transnationalism. The discussion is focused on:
    1. CanAm as an entrepreneurship
    2. CanAm’s success through the forces of transnationalism
    3. CanAm’s future markets

Key words: EB-5, US immigrant investment program, entrepreneurship, CanAm Enterprises, transnational communities.
