This paper examines the impact of the technology spillover and R&D investment on firm productivity in Taiwan’s electronic parts and components industries and computers, electronic and optical products manufacturing industries. By using a dataset including the public listed firms from 1990 to 2015, we find that the technology spillover and & R&D investment have positive impacts on firm productivity in the electronic parts and components industry, but there is no significant impact for firms in the computers, electronic and optical products manufacturing industry.
