Bicycles have been around for ages. Ever since its invention, people have been enjoying its benefits and using it for many different purposes. As the development of the design and structure of bicycles progress over time, bicycles were made into different types and styles, but mainly still required human-power to pedal forward. Moving forward may be thought to be easy until the gradient starts to rise. To make riding and climbing easier, a new generation of bicycle assisted by electricity, known as electric bicycle or e-bike, was introduced to the market. Some people enjoyed the assistance of motors, and some considered this cheating. This research paper will look into the development of electric bicycles and analyze the market trend to see if electric bicycles are here to stay through analysis and predictions.
