應用媒體識讀教育於國小學童之教師行動研究
---以報紙新聞實施讀報教育為例
摘要
本研究以行動研究為方法，於研究者任教之臺中縣青山國小泡泡龍班實施媒體識讀之讀報活動歷程，目的在於瞭解班上學生對新聞的看法、探討實施讀報教育的可行策略，以及教師在行動歷程中的自我省思。透過質性方式，運用觀察、訪談、文件分析、問卷調查、教學札記等方式蒐集現場資料並加以分析，以探究讀報活動在教學現場實施之情形，瞭解學生想法，並探討實務中可能遇到的困難與可行的教學策略。本研究主要結論如下：

壹、 學生對新聞事件的反應與想法
一、肯定閱讀新聞的重要，厭惡壞新聞，並對新聞事件的真實性普遍抱持著懷疑的態度
二、理解新聞的角度常受家人影響，好奇心、生活經驗與圖片吸引學生進一步閱讀新聞，但卻常因不熟悉報紙文本而影響主動閱讀的意願
三、受報導內容、社會價值、生活經驗、媒體訊息等因素影響新聞事件的判讀，但看法並非一成不變，會隨著團體討論的結果和同儕力量修正與改變

貳、 教師選擇新聞的影響因素
一、教師個人的媒體態度影響新聞議題的選擇與討論方向
二、考量新聞事件的特質選擇討論的內容
三、社會期待與同儕建議影響教師的新聞選擇

參、 班級實施讀報教育之策略
一、議題的選擇和討論方式視需要而定
二、配合學習單、延伸活動和新聞剪報等方式，進行新聞討論的回顧，且隨時隨地都可以和學生談新聞

肆、 行動者在過程中的反思與成長
一、打破教學慣性帶來更多的驚喜發現
二、新聞討論提供教師深入瞭解學生想法、發現學生潛質的契機
三、議題不是不能談，而是該思考怎麼談
四、學生已初步認識媒體特質，具批判新聞事件的基本能力

最後，根據上述研究結論，提出相關建議，以作為教育行政機關、教師及後續研究之參考。

Action Research on Applying Education of Media Literacy in Elementary School Students - An Example by Implementing NIE on News Reading
Abstract
This study is based on an action research, which applied the education of media literacy in the researcher’s class (called Bubble Dragon Class) in Chin-Shan Elementary School, Taichung County, Taiwan. The aim of this study is to understand students’ opinions to news event, explore feasible strategies of applying newspaper in education, and comprehend teacher’s reflections in the process of action research. Based on qualitative method, we get first-hand information by many methods, such as observations, interviews, document analyses, surveys, and teaching notes, to explore the situation of newspaper in education, comprehend students’ opinions, and discuss possible difficulties and feasible teaching strategies in practice.
The results of the study are as follows:

I. Students’ reactions and opinions to news reports:
1.They agree the importance of news reading, detest negative reports, and generally have doubts for the truth of reports.
2.How they interpret news reports is affected by their families. Curiosity, experiences and pictures attract them to do further reading, but unfamiliarity of the format of newspaper have negative impacts on their willingness of active reading.
3.Some factors, such as news contents, social values, personal experiences, and messages from the press, affect students’ literacy of news. However, their opinions are not invariable. They will be changed after group discussions or by peer influences.

II. The factors which influence teachers’ selection on reports:
1.Teachers’ personal attitudes toward the media may affect the selection on reports and the direction of discussion.
2.Teachers may choose the contents for discussion by considering the features of news event.
3.Social expectations and peer suggestions may influence teachers’ selection on reports.
III. The strategies of applying newspaper in education in class
1.The choice of topics and the ways of discussion depend on the needs.
2.Teachers can review the discussion on news by cooperating with worksheets, follow-up activities, press cutting, and so on. They can also discuss with the students in anytime.

IV. Researcher’s growth and reflections in the process
1.More surprising findings via the breakthrough of inertia in teaching.
2.Opportunities of deeply understanding what students think and discovering their potentials via the discussion of news event.
3.There is no inappropriate news event for discussion, but appropriate ways to talk about it.
4.Students have already preliminarily understood the features of media, and had basic abilities to judge news events.

Finally, according to the above findings, some suggestions are given for the authorities concerned, teachers, and follow-up studies in the future.
