我國高齡化社會來臨,無不更重視老年人的權益,尤以交通安全為首要。資料顯示,我國已進入高齡化社會,隨著老年人口的增長,我國交通事故肇事率亦呈現正向成長,其中老年人的死傷狀況相較於其他年齡層更是嚴重。為維護老年人及其他用路人的行車安全,交通部於2017年修訂針對老年人換取行車駕照的年齡限制,避免老年人因視力退化等身體因素,影響行車安全。
另我國汽車數量逐年成長,據交通部高公路總局最新統計,汽車數量達834萬多輛,其中自小客車佔711萬多輛,而總家庭戶數共計900萬多戶,等於幾乎每個家庭都有一部車輛;然而在挑選車輛時,除了考量廠牌、性能、價格等因素以外,顏色也是其中一個重點考量因素,車輛顏色不僅對日後變賣的價格有所影響外,對於行車安全亦或多或少有所影響。
為了瞭解駕駛人年齡與車輛顏色之關聯性,本論文以桃園市2018年至2020年為例,綜整與分析數據等相關資料後,本研究發現相較於非老年人,老年人在天候不佳情況下,較容易撞到深色車,且結果是顯著的。所以在我國面臨高齡化社會的情形下,應當更注重老年人的行車安全,建議加設道路交通安全設施,如照明設備或反光鏡等,抑或增加大眾交通運輸工具班次,不僅可以增加老年人出門之意願,亦能減少其獨自駕車出門之危險性,以維護老年人之用路安全。
As an aging society is coming in Taiwan, we pay more attention to the rights and interests of the elderly, especially the traffic safety. With the growth of the elderly population, Taiwan's traffic accident rates also showed positive growth, of which the death and injury of the elderly is more serious than other age groups. In order to maintain the driving safety of the elderly and other passers-by, the Ministry of Transport revised the age limit for the elderly to exchange for a driving license in 2017 to avoid the elderly from affecting driving safety due to the physical factors such as vision degradation.
According to the latest statistics of the Directorate General of Highways (MOTC), the number of cars has reached more than 8.34 million, of which more than 7.11 million are self-employed passenger cars, and the total number of households is more than 9 million, which means that almost every family has a vehicle. However, when selecting vehicles, in addition to considering factors such as brand, performance, price, etc., color is also one of the key considerations. The color of the vehicle not only has an impact on the price of future sale, but also has a more or less impact on driving safety.
In order to understand the correlation between the age of the driver and the color of the vehicle, this paper takes Taoyuan City from 2018 to 2020 as an example. After summarizing and analyzing the data, this study finds that compared with the non-elderly, the elderly are more likely to hit dark cars in poor weather conditions, and the results are significant. Therefore, in the face of an aging society in Taiwan, we should pay more attention to the driving safety of the elderly. Our results suggest that adding road traffic safety facilities, such as lighting equipment or reflectors, or increase the frequency of mass transportation tools, can not only increase the willingness of the elderly to go out, but also reduce the danger of driving alone to maintain the safety of the elderly.
