摘要
本研究以新竹縣北埔鄉傳統聚落居民為研究的對象，探討北埔傳統聚落居民對觀光衝擊的知覺，及不同特質之居民對觀光衝擊知覺的影響，並進一步探討不同特質之居民與觀光衝擊知覺的交互作用關係對觀光發展態度的影響。
經由描述統計及單一樣本t檢定分析，發現居民對於經濟上的衝擊知覺主要是「外來者瓜分觀光利益」、「地價房租上漲增加收益」、「帶動地方基礎建設」、「增加生活上的經濟支出」。在實質環境衝擊知覺大致是負面的影響，如「遊客任意停車、造成停車問題」、「假日遊人如織、造成交通阻塞」、「垃圾增加、造成污染」、「攤販缺乏規劃、造成街道景觀凌亂」。在社會文化衝擊知覺大致是正面的影響，如「北埔知名度提昇，居民深感榮耀」、「保存歷史建築、傳承客家文化」、「資訊流通，增強族群認同」。
透過對數線性模型分析，居民特質之「年齡」、「教育程度」、「居住時間」對觀光衝擊知覺並無影響，而居民特質之「觀光依賴」會影響其對觀光發展所帶來的經濟衝擊知覺。另外居民的「社會文化衝擊知覺」對觀光發展態度的影響最大。而居民特質之「觀光依賴」與社會文化衝擊知覺、實質環境衝擊知覺之交互作用關係會影響其對北埔未來觀光發展的態度。
北埔傳統聚落正值觀光發展重點工作時期，此結果可提供給政策執行及規劃者參考，本研究亦認為在持續進行觀光發展建設時，當地民眾的意見及態度的監測調查是非常重要的。

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the traditional village residents’ perceptions on the impact of tourism development of Beipu in Hsinchu County and the influence the residents’ different demographic backgrounds on their perceptions. We will also discuss how different demographic backgrounds correlate with the perception on tourism impacts to influence the residents’ attitudes towards tourism.
The results of this research are assayed and analyzed via descriptive statistics and single sample t-test. We have found that the residents’ perceptions on economic impacts are mainly as follows: outsiders take shares in tourism benefits; the rise of real estate price and rents increases residents’ income; tourism promotes local basic constructions; daily expenditures increase with tourism. The perceptions on the impacts of the physical environment are mainly negative: visitors park wantonly and cause parking problems; holiday crowds incur traffic jams; increasing garbage brings pollution; lack of organization on street vendors results in messy townscape. The perceptions on the impact of social culture are positive in general: residents are proud of BeiPu’s being well-known; historical buildings should be preserved and Hakka culture be passed down; information should be circulated and ethnicism be strengthened.
Through log-linear model analysis, we have found that residents’ demographic backgrounds such as age, educational backgrounds and length of residency have no influence on the perception towards tourism impact. However, dependence on tourism will influence the perception on the economic impact. Besides, the perception on the social-cultural impact is the most influential on residents’ attitude towards tourism development And residents' dependence on tourism, as well as its correlation with the perceptions on the impacts of social culture and physical environments will influence the residents’ attitudes towards the tourism development of Beipu in the future.
Now, tourism development is an important policy in Beipu’s traditional villages. It is believed by the author that the results of this study can provide references to policy-makers and planners. Besides, it is suggested that, since Beipu is proceeding its tourism development, constant monitoring investigations on the residents’ opinions and attitudes are therefore very important
