本創作論述主題為「花語」的生命躍動，主要探討自然界中花的生命意象，表現花的內在精神，呈現無形的律動美感，以隱喻生命像朵花種在宇宙世界中。
選擇花為創作題材除了被花外型吸引，更因為它的複雜結構使然，花是大自然最美麗的創造物，更是生活中美麗的裝飾品，對植物來說花是下一代繁衍的開始，負有延續生命的神聖使命。
本創作論述分文獻與創作兩部分：文獻部分探討花的寓意，創作形式方面探討繪畫的符號及版畫的特性與美感。創作實踐部分以版畫表現「花語」的主題內涵，分為三大系列呈現：
「百合花系列」：本系列中百合花傳達東方人對「百事如意」「百年好合」的象徵意義，具有純潔神聖的意涵，此系列強調音樂律動，表現出生命歡愉與禮讚。
「蓮華系列」：傳達「蓮華」的圖像表徵，蓮華即俗稱荷花。蓮華是佛教的象徵，荷花出淤泥而不染的特性被賦予深切的內涵，本系列傳達世俗中，不受物質、利益、慾望的誘惑，表現出在複雜環境中能如荷花般超然的精神。
「寓言系列」：生命充滿神秘與寓意，被子植物的種子在子房保護下，開始延續生命，這代代傳遞的密碼，如同一條不變的秘密法則，本系列傳達寓言是智慧。
期望透過本論述表達花的生命力量，藉此隱喻人的生命如花兒綻放，短暫中需珍惜與感恩。

This discourse explores the bound of life in the” language of flowers”, representing the inner spirit and expressing formless rhythm and metaphorical aesthetics of flowers. Life, like a flower, is planted in the Universe.

I chose flowers as the subject not only because of their appearances, but more significantly because of their sophisticated structures. Flowers are the most beautiful creatures of nature and lovely decorations in daily life. Flowers breed life of the next generation, carrying the sacred mission of extending life.

This discourse is composed of two parts. The first part probes into the symbolic meaning of flowers, exploring both the artistic forms in pictorial signs as well as the attributes and aesthetics of prints. The second part, the practice of art--my print making, expresses the contents of the bound of life. My print making is divided into three series:

The Lily Serial: To Chinese, lilies suggest the symbolic meaning of “everything well,” “lifelong happiness,” purity and divinity. This serial also emphasizes the musical rhythm as well as the joy and praise of life.

The Lotus Serial: This serial displays the symbolic meanings of lotuses. Lotuses are a symbol of Buddhism. Lotuses grow out of mud yet remain pure, thus being endowed with a profound connotation. This serial also expresses that lotuses are free from the lure of materialism and desire, reflecting the transcendent spirit of lotuses in a complicated environment.

The Allegory Serial: Life is full of mystery and allegories. The seeds of flowers are protected inside the ovary from which they start life. The life code, being handed down through generations, is like a fixed mysterious rule. This serial implies that allegory is wisdom.

This discourse evinces the life powers of flowers, metaphorically indicating our life is like that of flowers, short yet worthy of our appreciation and gratitude.
